Label Love

Apr 17, 2013
I finally got...

a label maker!

I've wanted to get one for a while now, but just wasn't sure if it would be worth it. Alas, the allure of neat, uniform labels won out and I caved.

As you can see from the first picture, the first thing I did was to add labels to the bills section of my Financial Binder (read more about how I made one here).

The label maker came with free tape that makes labels with black text on a white background, but I also got some clear tape with black text. I think I prefer how it looks...

I played around with different sizes for text. The only thing I don't like is that there seems to be quite a bit of tape waste when the label is printed. I'll have to see if I can find a fix. Other than that, I'm looking forward to using the label maker for my organizing projects!

Do any of you use a label maker? Do you love it?

  1. I love my label maker, too, but I agree about the waste at each end! It helps when you can print a batch at once, but that's not always practical. And I prefer clear as well.

    1. Is your label maker a Brother also, or a different brand? I'm just curious if the waste thing is just for that particular brand or if it's normal for other brands too. Thank!! :)
