Different Uses for Cassette Tape Cases

Feb 25, 2013
Remember these??

Well, I found some empty cassette tape cases lying around in my parents' house so I thought it would be fun to come up with some uses for them.

For example, if you need a cheap, simple stand for your iPhone, you can use an old cassette tape case by flipping it back, placing it on a flat surface, and slipping your phone into it! You can also use any other phone of similar thickness.

I also found that cassette cases make great Post-It note holders....

...and they're a great way to keep gift cards or business cards handy on a desk.

Anyone else use cassette cases for anything other than holding tapes?

Now if only I could find some great uses for the old tapes too.... :)

  1. Those are clever. I still have some old cassette cases that are simply sitting collecting dust.

    1. Thanks! Let me know if you end up using them for anything. :)

  2. That is tooo cute and too clever girl!!!!

The simplest ideas are the best!

  3. I love the idea of using it to hold my phone. When you said you got them at your parents' house, I suddenly felt old. I had a ton of cassette tapes growing up. I'll have to see if I still have them somewhere so that I can use them to hold up my phone ;-) I'd love for you to share this post and any others at the link party I'm co-hosting this week. Here is the link: Hope to see you there!

    1. Haha...well if it helps, I actually did have cassette tapes growing up, they just ended up at my parents' house when I went off to college (a while ago) and I never got them back till now! :)

Thanks for sharing the link party -- will def check it out! :)
